Camp Chawanakee 2008

Summer Camp is coming up!

Scouts and parents, see the SPL's hand-out, the flyer and the camp map. You might also wish to look at the camp's own web site.

Scouts attending must each have the following forms:

If you have not already done so, make sure that you get a copy of the above forms to Mr. or Mrs. Lind as soon as possible. Note that the Camp Chawanakee authorization form needs to be notarized, or signed by two witnesses.

Our summer camp will begin with a 7:30am parent drop off at PCOM with an 8:00am departure on Saturday July 12th, and a estimated 5:30pm return to PCOM on Saturday the 19th.

Camp Assignments

We have 2 campsites this year for Camp Chawanakee. Your SPL has divided the scouts into 2 groups, 1 group per campsite. Please look at this attachment for your assignment. As updated on July 10th, this attachment also has information on the daily schedule.

Indian Village is the smaller campsite and can hold 13 scouts. Yuma is the larger campsite and can hold 37 scouts. We maxed out the space for Indian Village, and put 28 scouts into Yuma. The Senior Patrol was divided half-and-half for the campsites and all the FCE scouts were put into the Yuma campsite. SPL Matthew Curtis is in charge of the Yuma campsite, and ASPL Josh Whitney is in charge of the Indian Village campsite.
